With the NFL as the league of quarterbacks, there’s always stories about their leaders and today will be no different.

Take a look.

Arizona Cardinals Place Kevin Kolb on IR

After enduring a quarterback battle with back up John Skelton and initially losing it, Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb took over in the season’s first game and helped his team to a 4-2 record. This came on his five starts early in the season. But come Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills, the player went down with a rib injury.

He hasn’t played since.

The Cardinals had hoped he’d make a return during the season but he isn’t fully recovered. Enough so that the team placed him on season-ending injured reserve on Wednesday.

With the team’s 4-9 record and nine-game losing streak, lots of change will be coming for this organization. It could include the end of Kolb’s career with the Cardinals.

Chicago Bears Try Out Quarterbacks

On Tuesday, the Chicago Tribune reported that the Chicago Bears had been quarterback shopping and tried out Josh Johnson (former Tampa Bay backup quarterback) and Stephen McGee (former backup to the Dallas Cowboys).

This comes in light of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler’s latest injury–one to his neck from Sunday’s game. It happened late in the fourth quarter and resulted in backup quarterback Jason Campbell entering the game. While he got one touchdown, it was too little, too late.

Cutler has received treatment on the neck for spasms and while not practicing, he has said he will play on Sunday.

The Bears will host the Green Bay Packers and with win, the Packers will clinch the division. For a Bears’ win, it will keep their playoff hopes alive.

Washington Redskins Robert Griffin III Returns to Practice

After being diagnosed with a knee sprain, Redskins quarterback RG3 would like to continue playing on the injury.

On Wednesday, the player returned to practice and according to ESPN, he high-stepped and moved around well laterally but appeared a little “gimpy” in throwing drills. He appeared to favor his right knee and whether or not he was wearing a brace, it couldn’t be seen as he was wearing sweatpants.

This is RG3’s first practice since his injury.

Should the player not start on Sunday, the team will go with fellow rookie backup Kirk Cousins. Last week in his short performance, he played well.

This week, the Redskins (7-6) will play the Cleveland Browns. They have won four consecutive games and are on the hunt for a post season spot as they sit just one game below the New York Giants in the NFC East race.
